The documents below outline my Fantastic Heroes & Witchery adaptation for a high-medieval campaign, drawing on Arthurian literature, fairy tales, and local folklore; they present the classes, rules, and options used in this setting.
Centered in late 12th century Brittany, the tone is one of timeless high chivalry, perilous quests, and encounters with the uncanny.
Players may be ordinary humans, changelings (dwarves exchanged for mortal children), fairborn (the half-fey), or ogryn (the human–ogre breed).
The fae are huge part of this setting, so I highly recommend using Celtic Legends - Faeries & Spirits by Night Owl Workshop as a supplement along with my adaptations above.
This is a wonderful adaptation, and centering it in late 12th century Brittany gives the whole thing a timeless Arthurian flavor that suits Fantastic Heroes & Witchery perfectly. I especially like the changeling, fairborn, and ogryn options, since they let players feel part of the folklore rather than just visitors to it. The jousting and equipment documents look like a great foundation for a high-chivalry campaign, and pairing it with the Celtic Legends fae supplement is a smart call. I have been reading through it between sessions, and it has given me ideas for my own game, which I found through https://kickthebuddyapk.app/.
